Why should I use your services when I can get a friend, neighbor, or relative to do this?

It is great to have friends and relatives that will sit for our pets, but these people are busy with their own day-to-day activities. A professional pet sitter will be able to devote the time and attention that your pets need. Your pet can stay in its own home while still receiving plenty of attention, exercise and love. I have been trained to handle emergency first aid and I am insured. If your plans change, I can take care of your pets until you return.

An added bonus is that when you return you will not have to take care of your pet sitter’s pets!

Boarding vs. Home Pet Sitting?

Boarding facilities can be stressful. If your pets are not used to being in a caged environment or with other pets having your pets exposed to other animals and environments can affect their health.

Will my pets and I meet the pet sitter before services?

Yes. I will schedule a free Meet and Greet at your convenience. This will give you and your pets a chance to meet me and for me to meet your pets. We will review my Service Agreement and we will discuss your pet's daily routine, dates of service and length of time required for each visit. I will also present a Veterinary Release form for you to sign in the event that your pet needs emergency veterinarian care during your absence.

And last but certainly not least, we will also discuss your pet's exercise needs - Linda's Dogs 2 Frogs recognizes that exercise is the cornerstone of good behavior for both puppies and mature dogs.

What does a pet sitter do during a pet visit?

The average visit usually includes providing fresh food and water for your pets. I will take the dogs for a walk or exercise and play with them. I will clean up any pet accidents in the house and droppings left from their walk. I will also bring in mail, water plants and any other reasonable pet or home care requests.

Linda's Dogs 2 Frogs will watch over your home and pets and notify you should there be a problem.

Do you provide overnight care in my home?

Yes! Unlike many other pet care businesses, I can provide overnight pet care in your home.

Do you provide daily pet care for those who have a long work day?

Yes.

Is there anything special I should do before I leave?

Make sure you have notified a trusted neighbor, family member or friend that you will be having a pet sitter take care of your house and pets. Leave enough supplies: pet food, cat litter, treats, medication, poop bags, cleaning supplies and tools.

What will you do if my pet has an emergency while I am away?

If an emergency arises and I suspect that your pet is ill, I will contact you immediately and, if you are not available, I will try to contact your designated backup. I can transport your pet to your veterinarian or an emergency veterinarian. You will need to sign a Veterinary Release form at our Meet and Greet. I have also completed the Pet Tech First Aid and CPR class.

How are keys handled?

Please have a key ready for me at the Meet and Greet. Your key will not contain your name, address or phone number. They will be coded with a unique code and kept in a secure, locked location.

Can we trust you?

Completely! I own and operate my business myself and I am fully insured with Pet Sitters Associates, LLC.
